Project Overview

Holy Diver is an advanced dive/tide watch app who's design harkens back to the digital tide watches of the eighties and early nineties. The watch is capable of saving an immense amount of data for the user to apply to any sort of diving, surfing and fishing.

My Contributions

As a surfer myself, I designed the app and watch face to be extremely simple and clean, only showing necessary data. The smartwatch app operates much like an ordinary tidewatch would.

The Holy Diver smartwatch is the world's most advanced tide watch, geared specifically towards surfers and divers.The watch is GPS satellite linked for location accuracy and uses over a hundred years of dive watch engineering in conjunction with new and

emerging technology to provide real time data about tide, wind, swell direction, and depending on the application, depth, water temperature, as well as radar and sonar link to the nearest ship.

User Persona

BEACH BUM:

BB is a soul surfer. BB’s only goal is to be in the water surfing as much as possible and with the least amount of people around as possible. He lives in his van, only works enough to eat and drink a couple of beers a day, and works part time dishwashing 3 days a week at 5pm at a pizza place to keep his van’s maintenance up to par. In addition to surfing he is also a skilled diver,

who uses fishing and lobster trapping to supplement his sustenance.

BB is a very seasoned surfer who has surfed and traveled extensively. His goal with Holy Diver, making sure his secret spots stay secret and using the watch to help him determine the best fishing spots in his given area.
